AFTER a long winter break the traditional opening race weekend in the UK is the Easter meet at Thruxton which saw an array of cars and drivers from near and far writes TIM CRISP.
There were races for both single seaters and saloons and Andover driver Richard Atkinson-Willes drove his Reynard SF79 in the Historic FF2000 races.
In the Historic Road Sports Championship race Stockbridge drivers Ben and Peter Adams were out in their Turner Mk2 cars.
Managing director of Thruxton Group Bill Coombs shared a winning drive in the HSCC Guards Trophy Sports car race in a McLaren M1b and local TV presenter and former F1 driver Tiff Needell was back again racing his own Lotus 69 Formula Ford 1600.
