ANDOVER Town FC have announced that tonight's game at the Portway Stadium has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Town were due to face Blackfield and Langley in the Sydenhams Premier League tonight but officials inspecting the pitch have decided it to be "unfit" for play.
The announcement follows a series of similar decisions around Hampshire today with Conference South side Basingstoke also having their match postponed.
Andover Town manager Neil Benson was understanding of the situation, he said: "Off the back of a good win on Saturday it's dissapointing, but we have to play on the safe side and it wasn't safe."
"It was clear to everyone when we did the inspection that the game couldn't go ahead."
Andover will now have to wait until Saturday to play their next game when they are due to travel to AFC Portchester.
