ANDOVER Table Tennis Association’s Division 2 match between Hanson Pidgeons and Hanson Falcons resulted in a 5-5 draw in sets but a 19-18 points win for Pidgeons.

Sarah Medland starred for Falcons by winning her three with Jason Cullip getting two.

Pidgeons took the doubles and individually Simon Przeklasa won two and Blade Medland won one, as did Nathan Shears.

Nathan was a little unlucky as he went down to Jason 13-11, 7-11, 11-7, 3-11, 6-11 and to Sarah 2-11. 9-11, 11-9, 11-5, 7-11.

Hanson Hawks managed a 22-16 win over Hanson Lions with Adam Lockington getting three and Ollie Raymond two.

Mike Bonarius (Lions) took two and Darren Walkom and Jonny Macey just held on to win a very close doubles match against Ollie and Adam 10-12, 11-7, 10-12, 11-8, 9-11.

In a one-sided match 3Ds beat Enham 26-0. Marie Dyke and Nicky Downs (3Ds) both won three, but Nicky was hard pushed by Peter Farmer before winning 8-11, 13-15, 11-7, 11- 7, 12-10.

Hanson Panthers’ experience helped them inflict a 30-1 defeat on Test Valley A. Dave Broomfield, James Taylor and Andy Farmer all won their three for Panthers while the solitary point was won by an improving Cameron Langdown.

In Division 1, Hanson Jaguars played a 5-5 sets draw but won 19-16 against Hanson Dolphins.

Trevor Whitelock (Jaguars) again won three, while for Dolphins both Mike Cartridge and Dom Raymond won two each.

Hanson A were unable to prevent Tigers winning 26-10 as both Malcolm Cummins and Andy Snelgrove (Tigers) proved too strong by taking three each. While Jerry Holt was beaten three times he put up a strong fight to take five points for Tigers.

Hanson Cougars suffered a resounding 10-24 loss to Figheldean despite Andy Barnes winning his three for the home side. Phil Cook, Tony Brown and Brian Cook all won two for Figheldean.
