STOCKBRIDGE travelled to a wet and windy Langstone Harbour to face runaway Hampshire Premier League Senior Division leaders Baffin Milton Rovers.
Very early in the game Stockbridge went close to taking the lead when Lee Hamilton cut in from the left and fired off a shot that beat the Baffins keeper but then struck the post.
The home side took the lead soon after when from a free- kick the ball caught on the wind and drifted past Dan Kempson in the Stockbridge goal.
On 20 minutes Hamilton again went close for the Robins but his shot went just over the crossbar.
Just before the half hour a miskick by a Stockbridge defender gifted the home side their second goal.
Then Baffins struck again before the break to make it 3-0 and give the Robins a mountain to climb.
When the home side made it 4- 0 15 minutes into the second half things looked bleak for Stockbridge but, to their credit, they kept battling and the lively Hamilton scored to make it 4-1.
Danny Field then scored from a penalty to make it 4-2, but the home side scored again just before the end to make it 5-2.
Stockbridge are away to Colden Common tomorrow ko 2pm.
