This week the final matches of the Whitchurch and District Bowls League were played.
In Divison 1 Andover B played Basingstoke Spades twice losing both matches 46-52 (1-4) at home and 32-68 (0-5) away and must now wait for a rearranged fixture between St Mary Bourne Hawks and Alton to be played to see if they are to remain in Division 1 next season.
Hawks lost their match 52-53 (2-3) against Howard Park and need maximum points from the game against Alton to avoid relegation.
Andover A beat Whitchurch Blacks 55-51 (4-1) and as a result Blacks were relegated back to Division 3 next season. Dennis Fowler, Dave Canniford and Jim Catchpole had the highest winning rink margin for the week in this match (25-14). Andover A missed out on promotion on shot difference having tied on points with Marnell B. Whitchurch Yellows lost away 38-43 (1-4) to Hook Hares but are already Division 2 champions. St Mary Bourne Eagles avoided relegation by beating Howard Park C 56-32 picking up all five points.
St Mary Bourne Merlins finished their season in Division 4 with a 47-42 (4-1) win at home to Thornycroft B.
