Mudeford v Longparish.

Away at Mudeford Harry Martin was the pick of the Longparish bowling attack as he ripped through the top order to take 5-19 while Ben Gardner picked up 3-24 as Mudeford were dismissed for 109.

In desperate need of a win Longparish openers Paul Blackmore and William de Cani put on 46 for the first wicket which calmed a few nerves but U15 Billy Mead was the star of the batting order hitting a flawless and unbeaten 50 to see Longparish to an eight wicket win in the 26th over.

Longparish II v St Mary Bourne.

In this low scoring thriller by the river Longparish II batted first and lost wickets at regular intervals.

Michael Taplin looked to be on for a big score before holing out for 28 and skipper Warren Bonathan accumulated 24 while Martin Clay picked up 5-26 for St Mary Bourne as Longparish II closed on 140-9.

St Mary Bourne also lost wickets at regular intervals as a rapid spell from U14 Scott Sturt saw three wickets fall while Gary Taplin's sedate offerings reaped a further four, as Longparish II clinched victory in this tense tie by 12 runs.

Whitchurch II v Longparish III.

With both sides chasing promotion this derby match was a high stakes affair in which Longparish II batted first and lost early wickets.

Alex Brinton claimed 3-17 and James Haywood bowled seven overs for 11 runs but U14 Will Arnold batted brilliantly for Longparish III and was unbeaten on 46 as they closed on 133-9.

In reply U15 Harry Samways picked up the wicket of opener Jack Dancer and U15 Nathan Smith took 3-48 from ten overs but an unbeaten 55 from Martin Dancer saw Whitchurch II to a six wicket win.
