Young darts stars on show at the Jamie G Open

Last Sunday saw another epic Jamie G Youth Open as darters from all over the south took part in another great day .

While the juniors and ladies had a round robin format, the senior men stayed with a straight forward knock-out along with a plate competition.

In the ladies comp, Samantha Pike beat Sophie Adams 2-0 in the first semi-final then Harriet Raynsford beat Kyla Tobin 2-0 in the other. Raynsford then beat Pike 3-0 to take the title.

The men’s first semi-final saw Dan Brown go out to Bradley Kirk 4-0, while Sam Ellis narrowly lost to Dan Read 4-3.

The final saw Read beat Kirk 5-3 with three ton plus finishes.

In the junior semi-finals Liam Whitehorn beat Chaz Monk and Adam Welfare beat Ben Tapping before Whitehorn took the junior title for the second year running despite struggling for form.
