Hinton Charterhouse v Collingbourne.

Hinton won the toss and elected to bat on a good pitch in hot weather. Despite Mark Douglas making an early inroad, Hinton took the score on to 111-1 from 26 overs. Three more wickets fell to Billy Brett (2) and Iain Kiy with the score on 136, however Hinton regrouped to score a further 96 runs from 11 overs posting 250-5 with Douglas and Brett taking two wickets each.

In reply Collingobourne always knew the score was probably beyond them and opener Will Atkinson batted exactly as requested for 24 overs for 21 runs and acting as the lynch pin of the innings. Taylor (6) and Douglas (8) both came and went but Owen Sheppard and captain Kiy saw Collingbourne through to maximum batting points as they posted 201-3 from their 45 overs. Kiy finished 60 not out and Sheppard 80 not out.

Collingbourne II v Lacock II.

The Seconds failed to follow up on a good win the previous weekend by losing at home by nine wickets. Batting first Collingbourne were all out for 112 thanks to the slow accurate bowling of Edwards (5-18) ripping through the middle order while unfortunately shot selection also played a part. Lacock easily chased down the total in 28.4 overs. Four dropped catches proved costly as only Raj managed to pick up a wicket.
