In Division 1 of the Whitchurch and District Bowls League Andover B lost for the second time in two weeks at Kingsclere Quails 44-60 (1-4). Kingsclere now head the table.

St Mary Bourne Hawks won a close encounter at high flying Littleton Leopards 53-52 to pick up four points and move up to sixth place.

As the halfway stage of the season approaches there is only one point separating the teams from fourth to eighth in the league.

Whitchurch Yellows continue to impress in Division 2, beating club mates Whitchurch Blacks 65-52 (4-1) and increase their lead at the top to nine points.

St Mary Bourne Eagles beat Old Basing Cavaliers 3-2 in a low scoring game which ended 37-37. Eagles gain a place over Hook Hares who did not play this week.

Andover A continued their revival by beating Howard Park C at home 53-44 (4-1) and move up to fourth.

Andover C maintained their good form in Division 4 by thrashing Kingsclere Pheasants 68-22 (5-0) at home and increase their lead at the top to four points.

John Allenby, Mike Butt and Les Reeves had the highest winning rink margin for the week in this match (29-7).

St Mary Bourne Merlins were unfortunate to pick up only 1.5 points in their 53-55 defeat to Littleton Lemurs.
