Summer arrived for the Ladies' Captain's Day, and sunglasses, shorts and a golf swing were the order of the day.
Although admitting to being biased, Julia Wheeler, the ladies' captain, remarked that the Tidworth course was absolutely stunning and there was total agreement.
There was an interesting format providing for plenty of prize-winners.
The overall winners were Rosemary Johnson-Ferguson and Elizabeth Yates and other prize-winners were: The best six-holes Four Ball Better Ball was won by Jenny Robins with Camilla Woodhouse, the best six-holes Foursomes by Jill Carlisle with Su Ryan and the best six-holes Greensomes by Jane Carey with Anne Wycherley.
Nearest the Pin winners were Annette Harris and Lorraine Clutson, and the Longest Drives were made by Camilla Woodhouse and Ali Buckmaster.
Anne Walker won the Club Professional's Special Prize provided by Terry Gosden.
