Overton v Wherwell.
Wherwell travelled to Overton for the first friendly between the clubs in many years.
Overton won the toss and surprisingly decided to bowl on a very hot afternoon.
Craig Beckingham (25) and Alex Gladwyn (43) opened and started well building a good platform before Beckingham was caught which brought the in-form Jordan Trebert to the crease.
A couple of quick wickets fell and left Trebert and Nathan Young building the innings and some glorious blows from Trebert put Wherwell back on track for a good score.
However it was Nathan Young who got his 50 first before falling for 52 but Trebert carried on and achieved a personal best of 71 before being run out.
The middle lower order wagged as Oliver Emslie teed off scoring 23 from 12 balls as Wherwell finished on 253-9 Overton started well and found themselves on 43 from the first four overs but Harry Trebert finally got his lengths right to get a smart catch at second slip.
Wherwell picked up regular wickets after this as they rotated the bowling around and bowled Overton out for 198.
