New Street boss Paul Reidy will head up a new management team which will control three senior sides for the new campaign which begins in early August.

The Wessex League First Division squad will be joined by New Street Swifts, who will stay in the Andover League and a new side which will play as the reserves in the Wyvern League under Declan Barrett.

Long serving clubman Reidy will be assisted by Michael Francis Pollin who is one of three UEFA B class coaches at the club and they have begun to build the main squad and have welcomed Chris Boothe and Alex Campbell from Andover Lions as well as young midfielder/striker Daniel Lang from Broughton FC.

Reidy told the Advertiser: “This is a new chapter for the club and everyone knows I am New Street through and through.

‘Our aims and objectives are simple in that I want us to be competitive and consistent”.

Pre season training begins at Charlton this Wednesday at 6.30pm where all are welcome and the club have already pencilled in five pre season friendlies starting with a game with Andover Town, at Sparsholt College on Thursday July 10 ko 6.45pm.

Two days later they travel up the A34 to take on Hellenic League Newbury Town at 3pm and are looking for a fixture on Saturday the 19th before a visit to Western League Gillingham Town on Tuesday July 22.

Aldermaston away is next on Sat July 26 with Hampshire Premier League Otterbourne the final port of call on August 2.

Reidy is also looking for a physio and anyone interested in that position or players looking to join the training are welcome to e-mail Paul on PReidy1@live.co.uk.
