Scott Sturt hit a maiden senior 50
Longparish II v Herriard.
Longparish II batted first against Basingstoke-based Herriard, losing the early wicket of Michael Taplin for 15.
Gary Taplin and U14 Scott Sturt put on a hundred for the second wicket before Sturt was dismissed for a magnificent 64, his first half century in senior cricket.
Gary Taplin was bowled for 45 and Warren Bonathan unbeaten on 16 as Longparish II closed on 169-4. Oliver Coetzee and Christian Dawson picked up early wickets, Tim Oram took two and Sturt capped a superb all round performance with 3 -34 but none could prevent Herriard passing the target with three balls remaining.
