Compton and Chandlers Ford v Longparish.
In their opening match of 2014 newly promoted Longparish won the toss and in verdant conditions invited Compton to bat. Pradhan bludgeoned a breezy 33 before falling to Ben Gardner, Martin Savage picked up the wicket of Antipodean opener Dave Gilbert for 26 and a cat like piece of fielding from evergreen George Kousseff did for the key wicket of Compton skipper Andy Gorty for 47 who closed on 204-8.
In reply Paul Blackmore and William de Cani put on 83 before Blackmore departed for 25.
Adam Lister added 23 but after a flurry of wickets, de Cani, a product of the Longparish Colts machine, and Cardiff University student kept his cool and ground out an unbeaten 101 as Longparish passed the target with four wickets remaining in the penultimate over.
