In Division One of the Whitchurch and District Bowls League St Mary Bourne Hawks picked up their first win of the season with a 53-43 (4-1) away win at Alton Social and move of the bottom of the table.
Andover B won two of their rinks away at Littleton Leopards but went down heavily on the third rink and lost the match 41-50 (2-3).
Whitchurch Yellows, fielding five ladies, maintained their unbeaten start to the season in Division 2 by thrashing Oakley B 61-34 (5-0) and move into second place. Whitchurch Blacks lost at home to Howard Park C 51-56 (1-4) and currently lie fifth. Andover A scored their first win of the season by beating Marnell B 58-35 (4-1) and move off the bottom of the table.
In Division 4 Andover C had a convincing win at home to Littleton Lemurs 59-39 (4-1) where John Allenby, Mike Withers and Andy Hooper recorded the highest winning rink margin for the week (31-5). St Mary Bourne Merlins also recorded their first win of the season beating Howard Park B 51-45 (4-1).
