Amport v Tichborne Park.
Somehow the Peacocks Ground was made playable to allow the second round of the Village Knock Out to take place.
Skipper Lee Ayres lost the toss and openers Martyn Startup and Nick Bone were quickly in trouble as Startup was adjudged lbw in the first over.
Bone was looking increasing comfortable until he was the victim of a lifter to gully for 32.
Dean Woodhouse and Ian Langdown then looked set until both fell in consecutive overs to leave Amport struggling at 75-4.
This was the cue for Tichborne Park to show why they are four divisions higher than Amport.
Accurate bowling, supported by some fine close-to-the-wicket catching, saw the Amport lower order struggle. Despite some fine shots by Pete Van Der Westhuizen, the innings subsided and the overs not used as the Redcaps finished 113 all out.
Defending such a low total was always going to be difficult. The opening attack of Leighton Bome and Langdown were unable to provide the breakthrough and, with runs flowing, Robbie Skeates had the opener caught low down by Lee Ayres.
This saw a flurry of wickets with Dean Woodhouse striking three times in his first two  overs and Skeates inducing a drag on.
Suddenly Tichborne were 60-5 and Amport had a chance. The Tichborne skipper had however hidden himself down the order and showed his class by taking 18 off a Woodhouse over to put his side in sight of victory.
Two late wickets for Langdown again saw a flurry of pads being put on but it was always going to be too little to late.
Despite Woodhouse claiming his fourth victim (4-44) thanks to a fine stumping by young Alex Ayres, Tichborne clinched victory by two wickets in only the 23rd over.
