Brockenhurst 4 Whitchurch United 0.

The Jam Boys dismal end of season continued as they conceded four second half goals at Brockenhurst on Wednesday night.

Missing defenders Alex Pickering, Curtis Angell and Adam Pearson they had the best of the first half for a while as Shane Lock and Nic Turpin went close but after the break it was a different scenario.

Cassius Newton gave the home side the lead and on the hour Jacques Bernard made it 2-0. Newton, son of former Chelsea man Eddie, then made things safe with a third before Turpin almost latched on to a Tom Lockyer through ball but was just denied.

Will Tickle’s shot clipped the outside of post but he was not to be denied as Whitchurch were caught by short corner and Tickle lashed home the fourth from the corner of the area.

Their punishing schedule continues on Saturday at Fawley before they entertain Alresford Town on Monday and visit champions elect Sholing on Thursday.
