Tidworth Garrison GC has been fortunate to host a Hampshire PGA Pro-Ams for a number of years, but this was only the second year running that Matt Miles had organised a tournament at the club for his fellow assistant professionals from all over the county.

The weather was ideal as the 16 assistants and their amateur partners took on the Tidworth course at its finest.

The best cards were returned by Barry Foster of West Wilts GC and Adam Hickling of Stoneham GC each with a 69. Barry is no stranger to Tidworth as he was a junior there from 1999-2004 winning the club championship in 2002 before going on to make a career in the sport.

After accepting his prize from club captain Brian Hutchins, Barry spoke on behalf of the professionals and said that it was always a pleasure to return to Tidworth and today's course condition was the best he could remember.

He thanked all those involved in the day, and especially thanked the members of Tidworth for their support, without whom such events would not be possible.
