The KWON Southern Classic Regionals in Surbiton, Surrey were not the busiest competition missing many of the regulars the Team Falcons still fielded nine fighters and brought home eight medals.

Callum Hollinshead had an outstanding day taking a gold in both the intermediate and advanced point fighting divisions and Sophie Robinson took yet another gold in the ladies’ novice. The intermediate class did not run so she agreed to step up into the advanced where despite a brave effort she was shown the difference between novice and advanced is a big one. If she keeps developing and stays focussed her time will come.

Bekah Mills took gold in her advanced points section but was disappointed with her performance and Kyle Schulze and Cassius Mitchell both took a silver in their respective points divisions while Jon Van Den Heuvel showed good skills to take a bronze in the men’s advanced light contact.

Shaun Rushton took a silver in the men’s novice on his debut which was a good achievement.
