Havant III 3 Andover 12.

ANDOVER kept their hopes of promotion alive with a 12-3 demolition job over Havant III.

Hat-tricks from captain Jamie Hacker, Will Turner, Sam Goacher and Jack Trott saw the town side dominate the contest.

With two games remaining Andover sit four points shy of second spot after an incredible second half of the season which has seen them continue to climb the table.

After the game Hacker said: “We came into the game with a lot of confidence and a winning mentality and we were relentless.

“Some of the goals we scored were fantastic and I was really impressed and proud that we kept our intensity throughout the whole game.

“We have two games left and we will be doing everything to win them, we are focused on this and that is all we can do.”

It was Havant who took an early lead but this joy was to be short lived as Andover came flying back with vengeance to lead 5-2 at the break.

Hacker completed his hat- trick with a powerful strike early in the second half as did Goacher before Trott and Turner deflected home late on to complete the rout.
