In the KRL Electrical sponsored Tom Parker Cup, Richard Stevens continued his good form by reaching the semi-finals beating Alan Batchelor 84-100 at Clatford village club.

His father Glynne wasn’t so fortunate, having lost out to the demon potter Paul Fleming at the Home Guard Club Wherwell 100-75.

The other two quarter-finals have yet to be played between reigning champion Ian Carpenter and Peter Green and Lee Ayers and Philip Langley.

In the JP Kitchen Fitting sponsored league matches Korbin Lowe continued his unbeaten league form, which has lasted two and a half years, beating Mottisfont’s Dave Chase with breaks of 24, 26 and 30.

The Fonts’ Ernie Jackson failed to secure his first league win, narrowly losing out to The Cuemens’ Jay Ponting by five points.

Fonts’ captain Graham Osman was the only home player to win taking a great scalp of Dean Turner 100-79. Father and son team mates Colin and Nigel Horne both won their games for the Clatford Plains against Kevin Robson and Ian Carpenter as The Cannons slipped to fifth place.

George Carpenter was the only home player to win beating the previously unbeaten Glynne Stevens.
