Whitchurch hosted their bogey team Alton Energique who have won every fixture since they entered the league both home and away.

Late substitute Alan Painter used his match skills to record a sound victory 3-1 while on the adjacent court Nathan Routley completely outplayed his opponent for an excellent 3-0.

The next match was crucial, as the Alton top two players are largely unbeaten. Tim Harding had the responsibility and showed his skill and determination to win convincingly 3-0 leaving the Alton team in shock and then to compound the issue Alex Melkonian, at two, produced a real surprise winning 3-0.

For the first time ever the only player to lose was Brett Farmer at one, but it was an unexpected 4-1 win for Whitchurch which will have improved absent captain Dave Adamson's long honeymoon. Now with four wins from five matches Whitchurch move to fourth in the league.

For the second week running the Vets had another easy victory with Tim Harding despite winning 3-0 annoyingly managed to injury himself.

Captain Rob King maintained his fine run of form also winning 3-0 and top seed Erdogan Ince casually dropped one game but was otherwise in control winning 3-1.
