Injury time drama as Jam Boys win away once again
Moneyfields 0 Whitchurch United 1.
Whitchurch started the game slowly and it took a wonder goal from Curtis Angell to wake them up, the right-back cutting inside on his left foot and curling a great shot into the top corner to put his side ahead on 25 minutes.
The visitors had two good chances to extend their lead before the break, Shane Lock and Ashley Ledger both going close, while they survived a major scare in injury-time at the end of the game.
A soft penalty was awarded for a foul by James Tennant but Whitchurch goalkeeper Tommy Hindmarsh was the hero, making a vital save to ensure his side claimed all three points.
“It was another good win away from home and we are happy with where we are in the table at the moment.” said boss Jim Macey.
“I certainly would have taken that at the start of the season.
“We have three home games in a row now and we want to be picking up as many points as possible. Brockenhurst are an improving side but so are we and hopefully we can come away with the points.”
