A team of Andover Wheelers headed to Castle Combe race track for the Omega Circuit Races on Sunday. Under 8 Marshall Thompson raced to an excellent second place while Alex Hall had a strong race in the tough U14 category which he has moved up to this year. Cameron Thompson and Jed Webber also placed well in the U16 event. An impressive performance came from Steve Dance in the fourth category seniors as he powered off the front of the bunch sprint unchallenged, to win by six bike lengths. Lili McLean finished in the top ten in the ladies’ race against a large field. Finally in the E12 seniors race Stuart Thompson showed that the Winter training had paid off and finished well up the order in a brutal 19 lap slog which saw half the field abandon the race.
