Tidworth Taekwondo celebrate first grading of the year
3:20pm Wednesday 6th March 2013 in Andover
Tidworth Taekwondo's Marcus Kinchlea with his grading award
Tidworth Taekwondo’s first grading of 2013 has taken place.
All who took part had completed a grading previously and took the opportunity to show they had learnt their new patterns, studied hard and worked to improvement their movements.
Despite some nerves, both junior and senior classes demonstrated their hard work and performed a range of movements, as well as their patterns and sparring. Those going for higher grades also demonstrated an ability to perform kicks correctly against boards with adult members breaking boards in order to progress.
Mr Storton was pleased to announce that all individuals had succeeded and particular congratulations go to Marcus Kinchlea who achieved the award for the best grading. Marcus has worked hard to improve the speed and power behind his techniques and this was evident at the grading, as well as an amazing knowledge of Taekwondo terminology.
Grading results Matthew Bates: 4th Kup (blue belt) William Hemsley: 6th Kup (green belt) Ethan Meredith: 6th Kup (green belt) Marcus Kinchlea: 7th Kup (green tips) Michael Ruddick: 7th Kup (green tips) Jessica Ruddick: 7th Kup (green tips) Jacob Hemsley: 8th Kup (yellow belt) James Smith: 8th Kup (yellow belt)
