Durrington edge nearer top spot in Andover Snooker League

Enham C hold a one point lead over Durrington WMC in the Andover and District Snooker League, despite losing 5-2 to their closest rivals.

Richard Sopp and Pete Leveridge shared the opening frames, Richard knocking a league best 42 in the opener. Alan Walters and Graham Sharpe won a frame before in the final game Mark Tressler lost 2-0 to Dave Chilcott. Enham C drew with their B side with Jimmy Soper-Dyer beating out-of-sorts Craig Rees 2-0.

Jeremy Stickland and Rich Thompson shared the next two before Richard Sopp lost the final two frames to Ken Brown.

Durrington completed back- to-back 5-2 wins against Enham A. Dave Chilcott and Barry Coleman drew 1-1, Pete Leveridge beat James Mack in two close frames and Graham Sharpe and Mark Dargan shared the final frames.

Wykeham Club are a further two points behind but have a game in hand after they beat Wolversdene A 5-2 away.

Dan Good and Steve Green drew 1-1 and Jerome Chaplin and Steve Wilkinson also drew. In the final game Owen Young beat Rob Goodier 2-0.

Wolversdene B beat bottom side Old Castle Club 5-2.

David Brooking beat John McDermott in the opening game before James Griggs and Rick Young and Kevin Brooking and Greg Winters both drew 1-1.
