Andover CC all geared up for new campaign
1:57pm Wednesday 20th February 2013 in Andover By Sports editor Kerry Miller
IN what has been a productive winter there have been numerous developments at Andover Cricket Club.
Andy McMahon has accepted the role as chairman of selection and Will Turner has taken on the role as fixture secretary.
After a superb comeback last season, Steve Simpson has been appointed as II XI captain and with travelling 1st XI skipper Jonty Hadfield returning next month to continue where he left off last summer, the top end of the club is looking very healthy. Richard Woodley has replaced the long-serving Geoff Dunn as membership secretary and a big thanks goes to him for all his efforts.
Verve Accounting are generously sponsoring the club’s overseas player and they are close to officially announcing the New Zealand import for the season. Indoor nets continue to be a success and are held every Sunday at John Hanson School, from 10.30am to noon in the hands of coach Dave Taylor.
