Fine win for Simply Aces

Simply Aces 35 The Globe 21 After a two month break both teams were keen to get the match started. The first quarter was fairly even as Simply Aces took a slight advantage despite their GS taking a nasty fall. During the second quarter Aces held on to their four goal lead and made some turnovers in the centre third. The match then had a slight delay while the players moved to another court due to slippery conditions, as the Globe’s centre took a heavy fall on the knee. The game resumed with both teams dropping to six players due to injuries and Simply Aces started the second half 18-13 and they didn't look back despite the best efforts by Globes’ guest player Lyndsey Hutchinson. Jo Woodward had a brilliant game as she made some brilliant passes into her shooters as The Globe battled well to get half points, but SimplyAces deserved to win.
