Second loss but Wykeham stay top

IN the Andover and District Snooker League leaders Wykeham Club lost for the second week running to Durrington WMC who have moved up to third in the table after a 5-2 win with Owen Young taking the opening frames against Dave Chilcott. Durrington came back strongly to win the remaining four frames, Josh Bulpitt losing to Dave Fitz-Henry and Jerome Chaplin losing to Graham Sharp.

Second placed Enham C are four points behind after their 5-2 win over bottom side Old Castle Club. Jeremy Stickland and John McDermott shared the opening frames before skipper Alan Walters then won both against Ian Redfern. Gary Walters and Greg Winters shared the last two.

Third placed Enham A and their B team shared the spoils. Mark Dargan and Craig Rees drew the opening frames with Craig knocking in a league best 38 break in the second. John Heredge beat an out of sorts Rich Thompson 2-0. James Mack lost the final frames to Ken Brown who was in fine form, knocking in a 42 break in the first frame.

Wolversdene C hosted their B team and 3-3 was the result. Nick Chilton beat Kevin Brooking 2-0, Paul Savage then lost by the same score to James Griggs before Gary Budden and David Brooking shared the final two frames.
