Tron 1 Ludgershall Sports 2
TRON were missing eight first team regulars as they suffered late agony in their North Hants Intermediate Cup tie against Wiltshire Premier League opponents.
But they took a surprise lead after only 11 minutes when after good work down the left flank by 17-year-old Shaun Bradley resulted in Jesse Todd being played through on goal.
His shot was parried by keeper Chris McRae and Serge Holland followed up.
Ludgershall were unlucky not to equalise before the break, when Marc Radmore’s effort was ruled offside.
After the break Tron went close as Dan Hunt headed over and Holland’s chip was tipped over by McRae.
Ludgershall deservedly equalised on 70 minutes when Mark Butcher netted from the edge of the box.
The tie looked to be heading for extra-time, until Ludgershall were awarded a penalty in the 92nd minute and Radmore made no mistake from the spot.
