2:38pm Wednesday 31st October 2012 in Andover
JOHN Hanson A got off to a good start with a 6-4 win over two-man Wolversdene A in the latest round of Andover League games.
Steve Harris comfortably won his three matches for Wolversdene.
Hanson A’s usually reliable pair of Pete Henderson and Dan Geary only just held on to win the doubles 12-10 in the fifth game.
Wolversdene A scored a 7-3 win against Test Valley A, Harris and Manish Chitnis both winning three matches.
Hanson A beat Hanson B 7-3, but not before the B team’s Richard Biles had won twice.
Henderson won his three matches for Hanson A.
In-form Pumas beat Hanson C 8-2, with Richard Fettes and Shaun Carver both winning three.
In Division 2 the slightly more experienced 3D’s beat newcomers John Hanson D 6-4.
Zac Hine again won three, as did Marie Dyke.
Dyke was pushed hard, winning the fifth game 11- 9 against Mike Cartridge, 16-14 in the fourth against Chris Farrar and again 13-11 against Alex Powell.
