ROB Collard returns to action this weekend at Snetterton when the British Touring Car Championship returns after its summer break.

The Hook racer will hope the Norfolk track is a happy hunting ground as he looks to close in on drivers' championship leader Gordon Snedden.

The West Surrey Racing BMW driver is 11 points off the summit with 15 races to go.

Collard said: “The Summer break has been far too long and I’m raring to get back into the BMW and continue my challenge for the championship.
"The first half of the season has gone superbly, I've been on the podium at every event and am the only driver to finish in the points in every race. That level of consistency is what wins championships and the aim is certainly to continue that form at Snetterton.”

Collard's son Ricky will also be in action at Snetterton in the Ginetta Juniors one the BTCC support races.

All Sunday's BTCC races are live on ITV4, they are at midday, 2.35pm and 4.57pm.
