FATHER and son Rob and Ricky Collard enjoyed a double victory at Knockhill, in their respective championships at the Scottish circuit.

Father Rob was the first to climb to the top spot of the podium after he won the opening race in the British Touring Car Championship.

The Hook racer having started fourth on the grid passed his West Surrey Racing team mate Sam Tordoff early to move up to third place.

Then in the final few laps of the race second placed man Alan Priaulx went for a move on leader Mat Jackson, but was forced out wide and Collard took his chance to take another place.

On the following lap he attacked Jackson and took over the lead which he held to the finish to claim his third win of the season.

In race two, Collard again started from fourth on the grid and again picked off the cars in front him including Jackson again to take second spot and another podium finish.

The Hook racer's hopes of a hat-trick of podium finishes was ended when due to a puncture as started to try and move up the field.

The results left Collard ninth in the overall drivers' championship with three rounds left.

Meanwhile, in the MSA Formula Championship Rob's teenage son Ricky Collard had the exact opposite of fortunes as he failed to finish his first race, while his championship rival Lando Norris took the win.

This left the Hook driver back on row eight for the second race, while Norris was four rows in front of him.

Collard fought his way through from the back to seventh in the end as Norris crashed out of the race.

So going into the finale at Knockhill, Collard lined up third on the gird with new championship leader Norris in second.

A mistake early on from Norris saw Collard take second and he then took the lead as Dan Ticktum had to go into the pits for drive thought penalty after he jumped the start.

The teenager went onto win the race and with Norris only able to finish seventh, he returned to the top of drivers' championship and has a lead of nine points to take to Rockingham which is the next meeting on the first weekend of September.
