NORTH Hampshire Touring Car Championship drivers Rob collard and Nick Foster are determined to finish their season on high at the final rounds of the championships on the Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch.

Both drivers have had a tough season with the new e-bay Motors BMW, but as the first season in the car comes to end the results are starting to come.

Both are hoping to finish the campaign in style at the Kent circuit and, with some of their turbo likely to be returned, they should be in for good meeting.

Hook’s Collard, pictured below, said: “I like driving at Brands, especially on the GP circuit, and held the lap record from 2005 until last year. I’m looking forward to doing well there and the car is getting better with every meeting.”

Foster said: “I am really looking for few top 10 finishes as I have been knocking on he door.

“I just hope I have a good qualifying as at Rockingham we were 30bhp down and that is why I ended up near the back of the grid. That is something I definitely want to avoid.

“I would like to end up the top Hampshire driver, but I am sure Rob (Collard) will have something to say about that and he is just in front of me at the moment.”

Andy Jordan leads by 34 points going into the final weekend of the championship and both e-bay drivers agreed that he would be make an excellent champion.

Foster said: “He is looking good for the title, but in motorsport anything can happen, but I think he has driven well throughout the year and deserves to win it.”

Collard added: “I picked him a few meetings ago to win the title and I hope he does as it good for the sport to have a new champion.”

The action is being shown live on ITV4 and the show starts at 10.45am
