THE BASINGSTOKE Bison suffered their second shut-out of the season as they lost to visiting Manchester Phoenix 5-0 on Saturday night.
The Herd had the better of the first period, but could not find a way past Stephen Fone who made some excellent saves turning away all 39 shots he faced on the night.
Manchester led 1-0 at the first break thanks to their man-of-the-match Ciaran Long.
The second period was where the Phoenix won the match as James Neil, James Archer, Tom Duggan and Long all scored to make it 5-0.
