THE BASINGSTOKE Bison made it three wins on the trot as they won 4-3 after penalty shots at the Peterborough Phantoms on Monday evening.
Marcel Petran scored the winning penalty shot in sudden death after former Bison Ondrej Lauko and the Herd’s Daniel Volrab had been the only successful shooters in the best-of-three.
Earlier in the contest, Lauko scored the only goal of the first period and then Luke Ferrara doubled the advantage, before goals from Joe Miller and Volrab tied the game at the second buzzer.
The visitors then took the lead from Ollie Bronnimann, but Jeff Glowa made sure the game went into overtime and it was left to penalty shots to decide it.
