WEDNESDAY night will see the Basingstoke Bison stampede back on to the ice for their first pre-season game against visiting local rivals the Bracknell Bees.
This will give Herd fans the chance to see the new summer recruits as well as the returning stars from last season.
All the Bison imports will fly into the country this weekend and the team will be training hard next week as they start to gear up for the forthcoming EPL season, which starts on Saturday September 18.
Before that, the Herd have four pre-season games, starting with Bracknell on Wednesday (face-off 7.30pm).
That game will be followed by the visit of Guildford three days later, before two reverse away fixtures ahead of the league |campaign.
Player/coach Steve Moria feels that the four games will be perfect preparation ahead of the new season.
He said: “We will have all the players here and having this many games gives me a chance to give everyone ice time.
“We can also work on a number of different line combinations ahead of the season.
“I am sure the fans will enjoy these local derbies ahead of league campaign and by then I feel we will be ready.”
