STEVE Moria scored the overtime winner as the Basingstoke Bison extended their home league winning streak to 11 games, with a 3-2 victory over the visiting Romford Raiders on Saturday night.
The visitors was down to a brilliant performance from netminder Charles Kaylor who faced an incredible 73 shots at over a shot a minute.
The first period saw the home side dominate by 24 shots to two, but they only had one goal to show for it from Nicky Chinn.
The battling Raiders levelled the game three minutes after the re-start as good work from Darius Pliskauskas saw Dallas Costanzo left with an easy tap in.
The middle session was the most even of the night and both sides had chances to extend the lead, but the score remained 1-1.
A great solo strike from Bison captain Chinn edged the Herd in front, only for Pliskauskas to equalise with seven minutes remaining.
That forced the game into overtime and it was Steve Moria tipping home a Mindy Kieras shot that secured the victory at 62:53.
