ANOTHER four point weekend for the Basingstoke Bison could see them move into the top four of the EPL on Sunday night.
Currently the Herd are hunting down the Manchester Phoenix with their victory over them last Sunday having closed the gap to just three points.
That continued the Lancashire side’s losing run and they have a tough looking weekend ahead against top two sides Milton Keynes and Slough.
Meanwhile, the Herd face, on paper, an easier couple of game against visiting bottom side Romford Raiders on Saturday night and a trip to seventh spot Sheffield Scimitars on Sunday.
The Bison are looking to complete a clean sweep against their Essex visitors and extend their current winning home record to 11 straight wins.
Bison player/coach Steve Moria said: “We cannot afford to be complacent. Winning is all about working hard and limiting their chances, which is what we will be looking to do.”
On Sunday, Basingstoke travel to Ice Sheffield searching for their first win of the season in Yorkshire.
Moria said: “We have yet to play well in their building. We will be looking to put that right on Sunday.”
One player definitely out this weekend is Joe Ciccarello as he is having an operation on his knee, which will rule him out for at least four weeks.
