THE BASINGSTOKE Bison made it 10 league wins on the trot on home ice, as they stung the visiting Bracknell Bees 6-1 on Saturday night.
Another 1,100 plus crowd packed into the Basingstoke Arena and the Herd were soon in control as Ondrej Lauko scored with his side’s first shot on target after 65 seconds.
Man-of-the-match Nicky Chinn then doubled the advantage with a shot from the left wing, before Shaun Thompson scored his first goal for the club since returning from Hull to make it 3-0 at 14:58.
Bracknell pulled a goal on the powerplay from Michal Pinc, but that was the only time Bison's Tom Annetts was beaten.
The sole strike of the second session arrived at 25:48 to cap a fine game from Chris Wiggins.
A bouncing bomb from Tony Redmond killed off the contest five minutes into the final session, before Lauko with the Bison’s second shorthanded goal of the game wrapped up the scoring.
Adam Marashi was the Bees’ man-of-the-match as he faced 58 shots in total.
