ONDREJ Lauko scored four times as the Basingstoke Bison, who included new signing Shaun Thompson, put visiting Sheffield Scimitars to the sword in a 5-1 victory on Saturday night.
Lauko opened the scoring in the 17th minute, as he finished a great move involving linemates Nicky Chinn and Steve Moria.
Then 20 minutes later, the Herd doubled their advantage as Chinn did all the spade work for Moria to net.
Just 55 seconds into the final period, Lauko cut in from the left wing to score to make it 3-0 Sheffield then pulled one back from Canadian Mark Stewart, but within a minute man-of-the-match Lauko completed his hat-trick with superb shorthanded strike.
The Slovak then completed the match scoring with his fourth of the night, five minutes from time after great work from Moria.
