SIMON Beere and Alex Sampford both scored braces, as the Basingstoke Buffalo continued their winning run at home beating the Lee Valley Lions 6-1.
Next up for the team is another home match on Sunday November 24, when the Chelmsford Warriors are the visitors, in a game which has a 6.30pm face-off.
In the victory over the Lions, Beere, with his first goal of the season opened the scoring, from Ryan Sutton and Gareth Wheeler.
The advantage was doubled two minutes later, as Sampford finished a nice move involving Mark Pitts and Francesco Tambellini.
The home side extended their lead further on the powerplay, thanks to a nice strike from Dave Collins and then Sampford’s second made it 4-0.
The Lions roared for the only time in the game, as Richard Hodge was able to find a way past Chris Edwards at 35:18.
The final session, saw the Buffalo add another couple of goals as Beere scored after defencemen Wheeler and Sam Dollin exchanged passes.
It was then left to Neil Leary to wrap up the scoring from line mates Sutton and Beere at 55:46.
