THE Basingstoke Bison went back to the top of fthe league after they shot down the visiting Slough Jets 6-2 on Saturday night.
Three goals in the space of 78 seconds in the middle session won the game for the Herd.
Man-of-the-match Joe Rand was first to strike followed by Doug Sheppard and Joe Miller.
It was left to Greg Owen to complete a 4-0 period win and set the Bison's firmly on the way to victory.
Slough scored the opening goal of the last 20 minutes from Frantisek Bakrlik, before Miller made it 5-1.
Matt Towlaski then scored the Jets second, but a lovely feed from Jaroslav Cesky on his debut saw Sheppard complete the scoring.
