ODIHAM hockey star Alex Danson scored for the second game running in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, as England beat Malaysia 5-0, to keep themselves on course for a top two finish in their group.
Danson scored in 2-0 victory over Wales and this time converted the fourth goal with a penalty stroke in a convincing victory.
England took 30 minutes to break down their opponents, but by the half-time they led 2-0, after Ellie Watton and Giselle Ansley both scored.
After the interval, Sophie Bray netted a rebound and then Danson penalty stroke was followed by goal number five from Hollie Webb.
By the end of the match England had out shot Malaysia 20-0.
Their next game tomorrow (2pm) will be a real test and is set to decide the group winners, as they face Australia, who beat Scotland 9-0, in the game preceding England’s latest victory on Sunday.
