WEYBROOK Golf Club handed over a cheque for over £8,000 to St Michael's Hospice.
The superb amount was raised by all the sections of the Weybrook Park membership.
Ron Tiplady, club captain, Gary Kennedy seniors captain) and ladies captain Caroline Shipp were present to hand over the cheque.
The Captain's Drive took place at the Weybrook Golf Club and proved to be great fun.
Senior Captain Bob Lawrence drive was 145 yards into the right rough Ladies Captain Janet Hodges hit her ball 135 yards down the fairway Club Captain Kevan Burnett finished with a 202 drive to the right half of the fairway.
After the fun everyone went off to play a fun team Texas scramble which was won by Andy Howarth, Don Feakins, Sandy Burrell and Steven Hinder with a score gross 63 which was a nett 55.7.
This year the Captains Charity is BLESMA Blesma, an Armed Forces charity supporting limbless veterans by providing rehabilitative activities, support, and some financial aid.
The April Stableford Results saw Kevin Jeffery win Division One with 39 points ahead of Ian Ponton and Ken Maneh both on 35 points.
Stewart Joyce won Division Two with 42 points two ahead of Ray Greatrex and five clear of Matthew Smith.
