JUSTIN Rose is placed joint first with Sergio Garcia, in the US Masters at Augusta, ahead of today’s final round.

The former Robert May’s pupil is level with the Spaniard on six under, after a third round of 67, which puts the pair one shot ahead of Rickie Fowler.

Rose stormed up the field after a super back nine at Augusta, which saw him sink five birdies in his last seven holes.

The Englishman is one of four previous major winners in the top 10, and starts his final round at 7pm BST today.

Rose was joint sixth going into yesterday’s third round at the Masters, having opened at Augusta with a one under par round of 71 and then on day two went round in par.
