JUSTIN Rose is just two shots off the lead at the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina going into today’s final round.

The former Robert May’s pupil is tied third with American James Hahn, one shot behind second placed man Roberto Castro, and a further shot back from leader Ricky Fowler.

Rose fired in a three-under par 69 on the third day of the event, to climb into contention for the crown.

The Englishman had a slow start on Saturday, at the Quail Hallow Golf Club as he suffered two bogeys in his opening five holes, but came back strongly ending with five birdies.

Rose also suffered the same fate in his opening round, with two bogeys in the first three holes, but then found his game and was four under par going into the final hole, where unfortunately he suffered a double bogey.

The following day, he once again hit a 70 and like Thursday dropped two shots on the last hole having collected birdies at holes, two, six seven, 10 and 15.
