JUSTIN Rose will begin his assault on the season-ending FedEx Cup Play-offs in New Jersey this weekend.
The opening event of the four-tournament play-offs, which will decide the season-long champion on the PGA Tour, gets under way at Plainfield CC later today.
The top 125 players on the tour’s FedEx Cup standings will compete this weekend, with the number cut to 100 for next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship.
Only the top 70 players will compete at the BMW Champ-ionship, with just the top 30 competing at the season-ending TOUR Champion-ship, where the overall winner will be decided.
Rose goes into the play-offs fifth in the standings and in excellent form, having finished in the top six at five of his last six tournaments.
