JUSTIN Rose missed the cut at the PLAYERS Championship at Sawgrass Florida, by one shot, as he finished on 145 (-1) for his first two rounds.
The north Hampshire golfer looked to cruising to an excellent first round score after he hit birdies at holes eight, nine, 11, 13 and 15 to move to four under.
However, a bogey at 16 and a double bogey on the final hole saw him finished the first day with 71.
His second round started on hole 10 and three birdies in a row from holes 14 to 16 saw him once again move to -4.
This was swiftly followed by another double bogey, but a birdie on two looked to have got him back on track.
However, a double bogey at hole four and more dropped shots at seven and nine was to be Rose’s undoing.
