JUSTIN Rose missed out on a place in the last 16 of the WGC Match Play in San Francisco after he finished second in his qualifying group.
The north Hampshire golfer won two of his three games as he beat American Ryan Palmer and India’s Anirban Lahiri.
His downfall was defeat by three and two on the opening day of the event against Marc Leishman, who went on to win all three of his group games.
